- (We were with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during a journey, and whenever we ascended a height, we would proclaim Takbir. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “O people, be considerate of yourselves; for you are not calling upon someone deaf or absent, but upon One Who hears and sees. Then I said to myself: ‘There is no power nor strength except by Allah.’ He said: ‘O Abdullah ibn Qais, say: ‘There is no power nor strength except by Allah,’ for it is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise or he said: ‘Shall I not guide you to a phrase that is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?’ ‘There is no power nor strength except by Allah.’)
- (When the verse (And soon Allah will bring forth a people whom He loves and who love Him) was revealed, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “They are your people, O Abu Musa,” and he gestured with his hand towards Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari.)
- (O Allah, forgive my sins and ignorance, and my excesses in my affairs, and that which You know better than me. O Allah, forgive my jesting and seriousness, my errors and intentions, and all of that is in my view.)
- (A Bedouin asked the Prophet (peace be upon him): ‘A man fights for gain, another fights to be remembered, and another fights to show his position; who is in the path of Allah?’ The Prophet replied: ‘Whoever fights so that the word of Allah becomes supreme, he is in the path of Allah.’)
- (It was said to the Prophet (peace be upon him): ‘A man loves a people, but does not join them.’ He said: ‘A man will be with whom he loves.’)
- (Indeed, before the Hour, there will be days when knowledge is lifted, ignorance prevails, and killing becomes rampant.)
