Islamic Remembrances
Powerful Dhikr for Rewards and Benefits
- Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah)… for this, a thousand good deeds are written or a thousand sins are removed.
- Subhan Allah wa bi Hamdih (Glory be to Allah and Praise Him)… this erases sins even if they are as abundant as the foam of the sea.
- Subhan Allah al-Azim wa bi Hamdih (Glory be to Allah, the Most Great, and Praise Him)… for this, a palm tree is planted for him in Paradise (not limited in number).
- Subhan Allah wa bi Hamdih, Subhan Allah al-Azim (Glory be to Allah and Praise Him, Glory be to Allah, the Most Great)… these two expressions weigh heavily on the Scale and are beloved to the Most Merciful (not limited in number).
- There is no deity but Allah, alone without partners; to Him belongs the kingdom and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things competent… for the one who recites this, it is equivalent to freeing ten slaves, one hundred good deeds are written for him, one hundred sins are erased, and it becomes a barrier from Satan.
- There is no power and no strength except with Allah… it is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise (not limited in number).
- Alhamdulillah Rabb al-‘Alamin (All Praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds)… this fills the Scale with good deeds.
- O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muhammad; whoever sends blessings upon him in the beginning of the morning and in the evening, my intercession will reach him on the Day of Resurrection.
- I seek forgiveness from Allah… as the Prophet (peace be upon him) did.
- O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim; indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Majestic. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as you blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim; indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Majestic.
For every utterance, ten sins are erased, ten degrees are raised for him, and Allah sends blessings upon him ten times, and it will be presented to the Prophet (peace be upon him) (not limited in number).
Dhikr When Hearing the Adhan
What to Say Upon Hearing the Adhan
- One should say like the Muezzin except in the phrases “Hayya ‘ala-s-Salah” and “Hayya ‘ala-l-Falah,” where he should instead say: “La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah” (There is no power nor strength except with Allah).
- According to Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever says upon hearing the Muezzin: ‘Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharika lahu, wa anna Muhammad abduhoo wa rasooluhu radītu billahi rabban, wa bi Muhammad rasoolan, wa bil-Islam dinan’, his sins will be forgiven.” This was reported by Muslim.
- Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: “When you hear the call to prayer, say what the Muezzin says, then send blessings upon me; because whoever sends blessings upon me, Allah will send blessings upon him tenfold. Then ask Allah for Me the Wasila, for it is a rank in Paradise that is reserved for only one of Allah’s servants, and I hope that I will be that one. Whoever asks for Me the Wasila will be granted my intercession.” This was narrated by Muslim.
- According to Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them), the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever says upon hearing the call: O Allah, Lord of this Perfect Call and the Established Prayer, grant Muhammad the Wasila and virtue, and raise him to the Praiseworthy station which You have promised him, my intercession will be granted to him on the Day of Resurrection.” This was reported by Al-Bukhari.
What to Say After Hearing the Adhan
- O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our Master Muhammad.
- O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the established prayer, grant Muhammad the status of Wasila and virtue, and raise him to the Praiseworthy station which You have promised; indeed, You never fail in Your promise.
What to Say Between the Adhan and Iqama
- It is recommended and encouraged to make supplication between the Adhan and Iqama.
- The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Supplication is not rejected between the Adhan and Iqama.”
- The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) reiterated: “Indeed, supplication is not rejected between the Adhan and the Iqama, so make supplications.”

Dhikr During Prayer
Opening Supplications of Prayer
- O Allah, distance me from my sins as You have distanced the east from the west. O Allah, purify me from my sins as a white garment is purified from soil. O Allah, cleanse me of my sins with snow, water, and cold.
- Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You; blessed is Your Name, and exalted is Your Majesty; there is no deity but You.
- All praise is due to Allah, abundant, good, and blessed praise.
- Allah is the Greatest, with great praises due to Him, and I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of the accursed Satan, from his whispering, inflating, and instigation.
- O Allah, Lord of Gabriel, Michael, and Israfil, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, You judge between Your servants in that which they have differed. Guide me to what is right, by Your permission; indeed, You guide whom You will to a Straight Path.
- I direct my face towards the One Who created the heavens and the earth, being upright and not of the polytheists. Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. He has no partner, and this is what I have been commanded, and I am among the Muslims. O Allah, You are the King; there is no deity but You; You are my Lord, and I am Your servant. I have wronged myself and acknowledged my sin, so forgive me all my sins; indeed, none can forgive sins except You. Guide me to the best of morals; none guides to the best of them except You. Turn me away from the evil ones; none can turn me away from them except You. Here I am at Your service, and all goodness is in Your hands. Evil is not from You; I seek refuge in You and to You belongs all praise and glory. I ask for Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.

- O Allah, place light in my heart and light in my hearing, light in my sight, light below me, light above me, light on my right, light on my left, light in front of me, light behind me, and grant me greater light.
- After selecting one of the supplications for prostration, it is recommended to make any supplication one wishes because a servant is closest to his Lord when he is in prostration, so increase your supplications.
Supplications Between Prostrations
- My Lord, forgive me, my Lord, forgive me.

O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith and make us guides who are guided.
