Prayers for Courageous Soldiers
The brave soldiers who defend their homeland undoubtedly deserve the prayers of every faithful Muslim. Below are some prayers that can be offered for these valiant warriors:
- (Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs).
- (So they returned with grace from Allah and bounty; no harm touched them, and they followed the pleasure of Allah; and Allah is the Possessor of great bounty).
- (There is no deity except You; Exalted are You; indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers).
- O Allah, grant them peace and tranquility in their lives, and bless them with the highest Paradise after their passing. Place them among the martyrs and the righteous, and what an excellent companion they shall have.
- O Allah, You who raised the heavens without supports and spread the earth over the water, O Lord of the universe and its sovereign; aid our soldiers stationed at the borders against those who wish to harm them. Destroy the transgressors who seek to seize what is not rightly theirs.
- O Allah, guide us back to our faith in a beautiful way, strengthen our faith, and fortify the faith of the soldiers who dedicated their lives to defending their land and protecting the sanctuaries of their country, displaying valor against aggressors.
- O Allah, thwart the plots of the aggressors and let their schemes backfire upon themselves. Bring our missing soldiers safely back to their families, rejoiceful in what they have done for their country and their children.
- O Allah, distance our soldiers stationed at the borders from evils, just as You have distanced the east from the west. Heal their wounds, take charge of their affairs, forgive their sins, and promise them gardens as vast as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous who sacrificed their lives for their homeland and defended it with bravery and loyalty.
- O Allah, protect our brave soldiers from any harm that may come to them and bless them in their children and descendants, for they are the best guardians of our beloved nation, and this is the greatest trust.
- O Allah, return our soldiers from the borders to their families in perfect health and well-being, and reward them with the best recompense for the services they have rendered to the nation.
- O Allah, accept them among the martyrs of the Hereafter, do not deprive us of their reward, and do not cause us to be tested after them. Forgive us and them, O Most Generous, Most Forgiving.
- O Allah, we are Your servants, the sons of Your servants and the sons of Your female servants. Our forelocks are in Your hand, Your decree is established upon us, and Your judgment is just regarding us. We ask You, O Allah, by every name You have used to name Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or kept knowledge of in the unseen with You, that You grant our soldiers abundant good and lead them to prosperity.
Prayers for Victory
A believer may call upon Allah Almighty with any prayer they wish, even if expressed in their own words. Below are some prayers intended for seeking victory over enemies:
- O Allah, with the might of Your overpowering majesty, by the swiftness of Your help in victory, and by Your jealousy for the sanctities that have been violated, and by Your protection for those who take refuge in Your verses, we beseech You, O Allah, All-Hearing, Near, Responsive, Avenger, Compeller, and Severe in punishment; O Mighty in oppression, who is not hindered by the might of tyrants, nor is the destruction of the rebellious kings daunting to You, make the plots of our enemies turn against them and their scheming return to them.
- O Allah, tear them apart as You have torn apart Your enemies in the triumph of Your prophets, messengers, and allies.
- O Allah, scatter their ranks, break their unity, diminish their number, thwart their efforts, and surround them; may they be afflicted with a swift punishment, and remove them from the circle of hope, constrict their hearts, and prevent them from fulfilling their desires.
- O Allah, do not allow the enemies to gain power over us, nor grant them authority due to our sins.
- O Allah, protect us from the evil of our enemies and let them meet their demise; make them a sacrifice for every beloved. Bring upon them swift retribution, today and tomorrow.
- O Allah, the oppressor, however powerful and dominant, cannot escape You; You encompass him wherever he may be. We seek refuge in You from the evil of this tyrant, and we ask that You show us his every misdeed and grant us victory over him.
- O Allah, I ask You for the victory with which You supported Your Messenger and by which You distinguished between truth and falsehood, establishing Your religion and validating Your proof; You who are my companion in every state.
Prayers for Security and Safety
A believer may call upon Allah Almighty with any prayer they wish, even if expressed in their own words. Below are some prayers intended for seeking security and safety:
- O Allah, make our beloved country abundant and prosperous, along with all Muslim lands. Do not leave any of its people in sorrow or distress.
- O Allah, shield our precious homeland from the forces of evil and from enemies who wish it harm, as well as those who lurk in every action seeking to cause it damage.
- O Allah, keep us away from all immoralities, both hidden and apparent, and do not permit those who do not fear You to hold sway over us. Bestow upon us the eternal delight in this world and the Hereafter.
- O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove from us the hardships, grant us the garment of righteousness, forgiveness, and liberation from the fire, and make us among Your grateful servants for the blessings, visible and hidden.
- O Allah, protect us from Your enemies, the enemies of the religion, and do not grant them authority over us, and eradicate the lands of disbelief and polytheism until the Day of Judgment, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
- O Allah, rectify for us our religion, which is our source of strength, and rectify our worldly affairs which sustain our livelihoods, and rectify our Hereafter which we will return to. Let life be an increase for us in every good, and grant us death as a relief from all evil.
