Asmahan Taufiq is a talented actress, screenwriter, and director of Jordanian heritage, with Palestinian roots. She holds Egyptian nationality and was born on March 5, 1947. Asmahan studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Cairo before moving to Kuwait, where she emerged as one of the most prominent actresses in the Gulf region.

In the late 1960s, Asmahan married Egyptian director Adel Sadeq, with whom she had a daughter, Wafaa Sadeq. However, this marriage was short-lived and ended in separation. She later married Egyptian actor Mustafa Abd El Wahab, and together they welcomed two daughters, Maryam and Suad.
