Morning Prayers for Loved Ones

The Significance of Prayer

Prayer serves as a vital connection between the believer and their Creator, Almighty Allah. It is regarded as one of the noblest acts of worship and a form of devotion that carries numerous virtues and benefits. Among these benefits are the remembrance of God, avoidance of heedlessness, reliance on Him, protection from calamities, facilitation of affairs, and the attainment of reward and blessings, given that it is an act of worship. It is essential for one making a supplication to maintain a positive expectation from Allah, as responding to prayers can lead to one of three outcomes: averting harm, accumulating rewards in the Hereafter, or the fulfillment of the supplicant’s requests in this life.

Morning Prayers for Loved Ones

Our dear ones hold a special place in our hearts, characterized by their sincere affection and beautiful sentiments towards us. How wonderful it is to touch their hearts and remind them with uplifting prayers:

  • O Allah, brighten the morning of my loved ones with what delights them, protect them from what harms them, ease their affairs, and unite us in Your Paradise.
  • O Allah, open the doors of happiness, comfort, and hope in the hearts of my beloved ones.
  • O Allah, I ask You by the light of Your face, which illuminated the heavens and the earth, to place my loved ones in Your protection, sanctuary, and care. Grant them good health and abundance from Your vast provisions, and accept their deeds with Your gracious approval, O Allah.
  • May Allah make you among those whose hearts are tranquil, whose chests are expanded, whose paths are illuminated, whose prayers are answered, and may He grant you long life, righteous deeds, and a good reputation, and gather you in the company of the best of creation, entering You into Paradise safely.
  • O Allah, we ask You to open the doors of acceptance for our prayers, O You who answers the call of the desperate, O You who says to a thing: “Be,” and it is. Do not leave us in disappointment, O Allah, and do not let us stray from Your boundless generosity, nor misguide us. Forgive us until the Day of Judgment with Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
  • May Allah bless your morning and perfume your kind hearts with the breezes of this blessed day. May He grant you health and happiness in this life and the Hereafter, strengthen your faith, provide you with sufficient lawful sustenance, and remove any harm from your path. May He protect you in this world, grant you mercy in the earth below, and favor you on the Day of Judgment.
  • O Allah, in this morning, grant us contentment and satisfaction with what You have allotted for us, and make us among those who are grateful for Your blessings upon us. Good morning.
  • How beautiful is the morning when you share a kind prayer with your dearest ones. O Allah, bless them, protect them in their lives, grant them abundance in their sustenance and offspring, and bestow upon them health in their bodies. Write for them a morning filled with hope, optimism, and joy. O Allah, keep away from them all sadness and grief, and facilitate their affairs with light and clarity.

Morning Supplications from the Sunnah

There are several morning supplications mentioned in the prophetic tradition. Among them are:

  • The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “O Allah, by You, we rise, and by You, we enter the evening, by You, we live, and by You, we die, and to You is the final destination. When evening comes, let him say: ‘O Allah, by You, we enter the evening, by You, we rise, by You, we live, and by You, we die, and to You is the resurrection.’
  • The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no deity but You. You created me, and I am Your servant, and I hold firm to Your covenant and promise as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done, and I acknowledge Your favors upon me, and I confess my sins. So, forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.”
  • The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “We have entered upon the Fitrah of Islam, the word of sincerity, the way of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the religion of our father Abraham, who was a monotheist and was not of the polytheists.”
  • The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my life, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and grant me security from my fears. O Allah, protect me from before me, from behind me, on my right, on my left, and from above me. And I seek refuge in Your greatness from being attacked from beneath me.”
  • The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, I call upon Your mercy; rectify all my affairs for me, and do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye.”
  • The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, wholesome sustenance, and accepted deeds.”
