Islamic Supplications for Guidance

Muslims can turn to Allah -the Exalted- with specific supplications that aid in seeking guidance. These include:

  • (O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and wealth).
  • (My Lord, assist me and do not let me be assisted against. Grant me victory and do not grant victory over me. Scheme for me and do not let them scheme against me. Guide me and ease guidance for me. Support me against whoever transgresses against me. O Lord, make me grateful to You, constantly remembering You, fearful of You, compliant to You, humble, repentant, and returning to You. Accept my repentance, cleanse my sin, answer my call, strengthen my argument, guide my heart, make my tongue steadfast, and remove any ill feelings from my heart).
  • O Allah, guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom You have favored – the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. O Allah, grant us success in following Your guidance and make our actions pleasing to You.
  • O Allah, show us the truth as truth and grant us the ability to follow it. Show us falsehood as falsehood and help us to avoid it. Bestow upon us Your guidance and satisfaction.
