Qur’anic Verses Mentioning Life and Dunya
The Quran features several verses that encompass both “life” and “dunya.” Below are some notable examples:
- (O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allah, you incline heavily to the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except for a few.)
- (And when you have completed your rites, remember Allah like your remembrance of your fathers or with [even] more intense remembrance. But among the people is he who says, “Our Lord, give us in this world” — and he has no share in the Hereafter.)

- (So Allah gave them the reward of this world and the good reward of the Hereafter. And Allah loves the doers of good.)
- (Those who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of Allah and seek to make it sound as if it were crooked—those are in extreme error.)
