Ahmad Hassan Al-Zoubi
Ahmad Hassan Al-Zoubi is a renowned Jordanian playwright and author. He began his career in journalism in 2004, working with the state-owned Al-Rai newspaper, where he launched his weekly column titled “Sawaleef.” This column has gained considerable popularity and is among the most widely read in Jordan, addressing a variety of political and social issues relevant to Jordanian society and the broader Arab community. Additionally, Al-Zoubi has experience in the Gulf press, having worked from 2000 to 2006. He was born in 1975 in the city of Ramtha, located in northern Jordan.
Academic Background
Al-Zoubi obtained his university degree in Accounting from Jerash Private University in 1998. Throughout his academic journey, he received numerous national awards for his short storytelling abilities, showcasing his literary talent early on.
Life and Career in the United Arab Emirates
After completing his studies, Al-Zoubi moved to the United Arab Emirates, where he worked in sales while simultaneously pursuing his writing career. His work was featured in the Emirati magazine “Ahlul,” where he had a dedicated column titled “The Other Street.” He also contributed numerous articles to Gulf Magazine. Al-Zoubi returned to Jordan in 2004 to further his endeavors in journalism and writing.

Throughout his career, Al-Zoubi has authored a multitude of articles on various topics, many of which have been published in different Jordanian newspapers. He has also contributed to the Sawaleef Network, a platform that highlights the works of Jordanian writers and enthusiasts. His theatrical contributions include significant plays such as “Sawaleef” (2006), “Al-Mamoot” (2008), “Now I Understand You” (2011), “Awja Watan” (2012), and “Nazf Monfard” (2012). Additionally, he wrote a television series titled “Shofet Ainak,” consisting of three parts, which was performed by Jordanian actor Mousa Hijazeen. Al-Zoubi has also collaborated with Kharaabesh to produce his satirical programs.
